Frequently Asked Question

What are the correct email server settings for my mail program?
Last Updated 4 months ago

Incoming mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net
Outgoing mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net

Using the IMAP4 protocol for incoming mail is highly recommended. Your mailbox is synced across all devices and clients that you use to check the mailbox (web mail, handhelds, and computer email clients) when using this protocol.

Account setup in Thunderbird is automatically detected for all @totacc.com email addresses and the automatically configured options will allow you to both send and receive mail. Any other hosted domain will require manual configuration at this time.

If you don't already have an email program, or want to switch, Thunderbird can be downloaded here: https://www.thunderbird.net/

Customers using other mail programs, such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail, may need to go into their advanced settings menus to configure the server settings. If you need assistance configuring your mail client please create a help desk ticket or call support at 520-302-5194.

For the various server flavors/options here are all the details, the recommended configurations are shown in bold text:

Incoming mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net
IMAP Security: SSL/TLS
Port: 993
Normal password (clear text - the connection itself is encrypted with SSL between you and the server)

Incoming mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net
POP3 Security: SSL/TLS
Port: 995
Normal Password (clear text)

Outgoing mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net
SMTP Security: SSL
Port: 587
Normal Password (clear text)

Outgoing mail server: mail.wholesaledial.net
SMTP Security: STARTTLS
Port: 587
Normal Password (clear text)

The recommended combination of the above options would be IMAP with SSL and SMTP with SSL, shown in bold text,  but you are free to use any combination you prefer.

New account setup for @totacc.com email addresses in Thunderbird will automatically configure themselves to this combination using only the email address and password and no longer require manual configuration. Most other mail clients, like Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail, will require manual configuration and often the detailed settings are in an advanced settings menu.

The updated web mail address is here (make sure you update any webmail.tiaspeed.combookmarks to remove the Login.aspx text):

If you need access to any email that was previously retrieved, and stored, by the legacy web mail system, prior to our migration December 12th 2024, it is still available here:

https://legacy.tiaspeed.com/

Please note that the legacy system has been left in place while we work with the vendor to migrate the remaining mail that is stored there to the new system. This is estimated to be active until February of 2025 at which time it will officially be retired and turned off. If migration takes longer, the legacy system will be left online longer.

New email past 12 December 2024 will not be delivered to the legacy system and users should not send any new email using that system - it should only be utilized to pull up mail stored in the mailbox prior to 12 December 2024.
